Catalog Sync

Install shared Epistola template packages from a Valtimo application.

Catalog sync

Use catalog sync when a Valtimo project ships shared Epistola templates with the application.

When to use it

Use catalog sync for:

  • Demo processes.
  • Starter templates for a project.
  • Standard content that should be installed the same way in every environment.

Do not use catalog sync as the normal authoring workflow. Authors should still maintain templates in Epistola and release shared content deliberately.

Configure catalog sync

  1. Prepare the shared catalog in Epistola.
  2. Include the released catalog with the Valtimo application.
  3. Enable template sync on the Epistola connection.
  4. Start or restart the application.
  5. Check in Epistola that the catalog was installed or upgraded.
  6. Test the process that uses the installed template.
