Valtimo Mapping Reference

Use this page when you maintain the technical mapping between a Valtimo process and an Epistola template. The functional guide is Map Case Data.

Mapping source

Mappings can use case data, process variables, form submissions, and values derived during the workflow. Keep the final mapped object aligned with the Epistola expected data contract.

Expressions

Technical mappings may use expression syntax such as JSONata. Keep those expressions in implementation-owned configuration and review them when the template contract changes.

Preview data

Use preview data to test mappings before users generate production documents. Include examples for the normal path, missing optional data, and known edge cases.

Change control

When a template field is renamed or removed, update the Valtimo mapping in the same release plan. Treat template contract changes and process mapping changes as one functional change.
