Document generation action

Use this action at the point in the process where the case needs a document.

Configure the action

1. Add a document generation step to the process.
2. Select the Epistola connection.
3. Choose the catalog or template source.
4. Choose the template.
5. Choose the variant, or let Epistola use the default variant.
6. Choose the environment.
7. Map case information to the document fields.
8. Choose where the generated result should be stored for later steps.

Choose a variant

Use the default variant when the process always generates the same presentation. Choose a specific variant when the process knows exactly which layout to use. Use rules when the variant depends on values such as language, channel, or brand.

After the action

Always add a wait step and a success/failure route after generation. Do not assume the PDF is ready immediately.
